Mmm…

The last page in the first book of the Spencerian System of Practical Penmanship. Mmm….that satisfying grunt when you eat (insert your favorite dessert preferably one freshly baked and best eaten warm here) or accomplish something you are proud of. I have learned quite a bit and exercised arm muscles that I didn’t know I had. In the process I have gathered much insight and great practice for beginning my journey into the beautiful script known as Spencerian. I can’t wait to start the next book, peaking ahead there is a lot of fun to be had, including more actual words.

The minuscule m takes up the entire width of useable space that two letters usually occupy. Pay attention to the curves, make sure to focus on the individual strokes that form the letter. Stroke count 3,1,3,1,3,1,2. Not much else to report this week, stay healthy and happy practicing.
